Missing traffic
Check why visits or events do not appear in Traffic reports.
Symptom: Graytower shows fewer visits than expected or a recent action is absent.
Check collection first
- Check Website → Settings → Tracking for the last stored pageview and current status. No recent traffic means no accepted pageview in 72 hours.
- Check Workspace → Billing. At the tracked-event limit, collection pauses while existing reports remain readable.
- Confirm the snippet is on every host and route you expect to measure, and that the visit used a registered root domain.
- Test without a browser blocker, subject to your consent policy. Inspect the script and
/api/collectnetwork requests. - Check the report's Website and date range. The tracker suppresses repeat pageviews of the same path within 60 seconds.
Compare counts fairly
Different analytics tools can count visitors and sessions differently. Compare accepted events and time ranges before treating a count difference as missing data.
