Terms of Service

The terms for creating a Workspace and using the Graytower service.

Effective and last updated: September 25, 2026

1. The service and your account

Graytower provides website analytics, revenue attribution, analytical assistance through Explore, opportunity discovery, and experiment measurement. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent. You must be authorized to bind that organization, provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and use the service for lawful business purposes. Workspace owners are responsible for people they authorize to use their Workspace.

2. Your Websites and data

You decide which Websites to connect, what events and identity data to send, and which people can access your Workspace. You retain your rights in customer data. You grant Graytower the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, analyze, and display that data to provide the service and carry out your instructions. You are responsible for having the rights and lawful basis to collect and submit the data, for your visitor-facing notices and consent where required, and for honoring applicable requests from your visitors.

Do not submit payment card numbers, health information, government identifiers, or other sensitive information through event names, URLs, custom properties, Explore prompts, or Product Profiles unless Graytower has expressly agreed to support that use.

3. Tracking modes

The default first-party identity mode sets a persistent _gt_id visitor cookie to support returning-visitor analytics, journeys, and attribution. You must decide whether to delay loading it until consent is obtained. Cookieless mode does not set that persistent visitor cookie, but can reduce identity-dependent reporting and does not itself establish compliance with any privacy law. Technical details and installation requirements are in the tracking documentation. Our handling of customer personal data is described in the DPA.

4. Plans, limits, and billing

The pricing page and in-app billing view show current plans, allowances, capacities, and prices. Free allowances are lifetime allowances; paid tracked-event and other metered allowances reset in monthly usage windows, including on annual subscriptions. Events, Explore questions, discovery scans, and refreshes can stop when an allowance is reached. Website and active experiment capacities depend on the plan. Existing data remains subject to retention settings and may age out even when new ingestion is paused.

Paid subscriptions renew for the selected monthly or annual billing interval unless canceled. Stripe handles checkout and payment. Upgrades and capacity increases can take effect immediately with proration; reductions and interval changes are scheduled for renewal. Cancellation through the billing portal takes effect at the end of the paid period. If payment fails, access may continue during a 7-day grace period and may then be reduced or suspended. Taxes may apply. Contact support@graytower.app about billing errors or refund requests.

5. Connected services and generated material

When you connect Stripe to a Website, you authorize Graytower to access the connected account data needed for payment import, refunds, and attribution, until you disconnect it or delete the Website. Attribution depends on the signals available and can be incomplete. Explore answers, opportunities, externally discovered material, and experiment analyses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Review them before making business decisions. Third-party services you connect may have their own terms.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Graytower to break the law; collect data you have no right to collect; send malicious code; probe or disrupt the service; bypass plan limits, rate limits, or access controls; misuse another account or credential; or attempt to derive source code where law permits such restrictions. We may reject data or suspend access to protect the service, other users, or legal compliance.

7. Availability, changes, and termination

We work to keep Graytower available and secure, but may modify features, fix errors, or interrupt service for maintenance or incidents. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, abuse, security threats, or legal obligations, with notice where practical. You may stop using the service and cancel a paid subscription through billing settings. Website and Workspace deletion controls initiate removal of related data. Some billing, security, and legal records may need to be retained. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

8. Service limitations

Analytics, attribution, AI output, and externally sourced information can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review the underlying data and use your own judgment before making business decisions. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude.

9. Updates and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will identify the current version by its date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Questions or formal notices can be sent to support@graytower.app.
